Oh! first , I would like to invite you all to my Facebook album called "What Captures Me " it is full of reflections on what I'm passionate for , what I like , what I believe in , what I want to do ...etc.
You would like it.

Second , I would like to let you join me thinking about when we were young , the old model of our teachers , how much effective their work was. I remember when I was young , my teacher used to lead us by example.
She never told us do this or don't do that , she was the model to follow. Back then there wasn't any mean of technology inside classrooms , yet she used to make a verity of ways. Story telling was my favorite among all.All her stories held amazing values and meanings.
I guess she inspired me to become a teacher like her.

I believe that nowadays teachers focus on being good teacher who deliver the information in a direct way to be understood not on being a role model who touches students' lives and changes it to a better version.
So I guess technology would help teachers to communicate with students outside their classes so that would be easier for students to see the human part of their teacher so that they could be affected on a personal level.

As for me, I consider Blog is like "story telling" that my teacher used to use to pass her values , believes, morals ..etc.

  1. Nice Lina you mentioned your teacher as for me my science teacher was my model actually she is the one I owned my success in my life as she modulate my way of thinking and studying any subject in our curriculum was given in a form of activity first we go to library to pick a book or two , summarize , write and put photoes or drawings even if not that much good then gave her this project for her feed back also we made wall magazines and illustrations to be presented in the school exhibition by the end of the year and so on , it was the time when there were no technology as present now but sher created a way to deliver her subject in a ver up to date method compared to that time this was in mid 80's I think 85 or. 86 when I was in the preparatory school. So guess what can technology make nowadays !!!!!!!!

  2. Great link between your past experience and your current learning, Lina! The best teachers will use the most cutting edge technology they have at the time. My Geography teacher inspired me in her classes by using actual photographs and souvenir cards. She also had us sit in groups. According to an article I recently read by Mike Muir, students say they need hands on experience, knowledge that is meaningful to their lives, an environment that builds relationships with them, their teachers and their peers; and a personal motivation for learning. Thanks for sharing. What is the address of your FB page?

  3. Thank you Dear Nashwa , Yes I believe that teachers are those who can shift one's mind just by the way they are and with aid of technology that would be an awesome exposure.

"The best teachers will use the most cutting edge technology they have all the time " I guess this is a very good point from my point of view, cause whenever the age we are living there will be always some technological tools that can help us teaching :)

  5. You remind me of my teachers too .During my study I met several teachers who had an effect on my life .I think a teacher should be a second parent for their students So there will be a bonding between them.
