I personally like this song so much , because despite the meaning it holds, it also reminds me everytime I hear it of my own personal goal in teaching. My goal was to touch my students lives not only on vertical basis but also horizontal one, to affect them in a deep way making them more confident with their own selves. I hope I can really learn the lesson of "Eveybody's someone "

Every educator must be flexible with all the changes. Those who are rigid and resist change , will always remain in "the comfort zone". They will use the same techniques , tools , methods and activities in their way of teaching which of course will lead him/her to be that boring kind of teacher. Student will enter the class and will be engaged with whatever the mean of entertainment rather than focus on the lesson.

But if the educator take risks and welcome the change, he might go further than before. He may lead his students to undiscovered areas in them and in him as well.

Change is what make us live in continuous excitement, willing for new areas , new opportunities.
And if we refer this to our ETCT diploma, I believe that because we need to be better teachers we decided to "change" and approach our students more.

The effect of the last class

Our last class was my favorite. YES! it was , among the past ones.
I guess I learned some new things on both the professional and personal aspects


It was my very first time enjoying my mistakes. When I didn't do my first assignment the way I want to do it, I learned to try new way while I'm doing article reflections.So next time I will be using Bassant's way of taking notes " the two colors writing", so that I want take much time reading then reading again to take notes then reading again to take reflections. That won't be learned , if I didn't do this mistake !

I really liked the activity we played in order to remember the order while writing the bibliography. I enjoyed it very much & also I learned through it. Being a person who learn the most by trying himself , play and do active actions. It was the best time I have received knowledge about something.
I will tell you what it was for me:
1) I enjoyed my time
2) it motivated me to go read more articles and try to practice writing the references
3) it taught me a new way to teach my student by. It wasn't something difficult it was very easy yet to the point

I also learned that , showing students' work to their peers really does a lot. For them , they would be proud of themselves, they will feel appreciated about their work and also motivated to do more. Also for their peers to learn from their work, get motivated to excel and compete .

Seriously I have enjoyed the last class to infinity and beyond

Oh! first , I would like to invite you all to my Facebook album called "What Captures Me " it is full of reflections on what I'm passionate for , what I like , what I believe in , what I want to do ...etc.

Second , I would like to let you join me thinking about when we were young , the old model of our teachers , how much effective their work was. I remember when I was young , my teacher used to lead us by example.
She never told us do this or don't do that , she was the model to follow. Back then there wasn't any mean of technology inside classrooms , yet she used to make a verity of ways. Story telling was my favorite among all.All her stories held amazing values and meanings.
I guess she inspired me to become a teacher like her.

I believe that nowadays teachers focus on being good teacher who deliver the information in a direct way to be understood not on being a role model who touches students' lives and changes it to a better version.
So I guess technology would help teachers to communicate with students outside their classes so that would be easier for students to see the human part of their teacher so that they could be affected on a personal level.

As for me, I consider Blog is like "story telling" that my teacher used to use to pass her values , believes, morals ..etc.

Student oriented class

I have been wondering a lot about the most effective way to make students in class get engaged with every single thing in the class , how to make them enjoy their time learning .

I was reading about some educational experiences that were successful, and i was introduced to something called "student oriented class" . The Idea was stunning for me , I find it very effective , interesting and enjoyable.

I decided by then to deliver a class like that and the result was amazing and with outstanding reaction from students. I guess that every teacher would find it very useful especially by applying technology in it.

A new tip

Yesterday, 23rd. of September

I learned a new tip in my educational career.Since it's very important to pay attention to what your students say during the class and since this too is very hard for a teacher to always stay focus on every single detail , tape it ! use your camera or mobile phone to record these details.
It will help much in doing fair judgments , concentrate with every student & raise the effectiveness of the learning process.

I am so happy gaining this tip and I guess I will start applying it in my class soon.

A book to read

I love reading.Actually I believe that , if anyone wants to live more than one life ... He should read !
And since I am so much interested in education , I read a lot of books regarding this field.

One of my favorite books , titled "last lecture".
Seriously, this book is so amazing , it's like a big story. It's full of inspirational insights , great advices , wonderful quotes & high morals.Also very entertaining for anyone who reads. It's very simple in language and expressions, yet very valuable book.

I highly recommend for any educator to spend some of his time reading this book. And speaking of more than one life , this book is one good experience to be lived =)

Being Unique =)

         This is my 1st. blog post on blogger ...YAY !! I'm so excited about this experience since the last Sunday at our very first class. Honestly I won't list the things we tackled in the class , though they were awesome to an extend that motivates me so much to start our learning journey.But i won't list them because all my colleagues have mentioned them already .

         So I want to share other things that really touched my heart during the class. For me the idea of being the very youngest student in the class was a bit terrifying yet interesting.I have never been before in a big group of people with all this diversity and all of them are elder than me.Though this gave me some sort of confidence to try dealing with this amazing group , learn from each and everyone's experiences and excel my own skills by the reflection of theirs. Also being the only one having 1 sibling game me the same feeling of uniqueness.

          Another touching thing is when Dr. Joyanne said " Great teachers are those who put themselves on the uncomfortable chairs, the chairs of learners".Really this sentence pointed out to me that I'm on the right track.


          O.k. everybody , it's enough for now .I'll check now all your blogs and will re-blog soon inshaa ALLAH .
OH! one last thing.Since knowledge is power then , By the name of ALLAH ... let's have POWER ! =)
